I don’t know where to begin. Thank you so much for helping Ryan and I create the wedding of our dreams. The weather did not cooperate buy you and your team sprung into action to make sure the wedding was still executed and the guests were taken care of. We could not have done this without you. Above all your positive attitude is infectious. Despite the challenges we faced throughout the planning process and wedding day, your amazing attitude kept my spirits high and focused on what was really important. My daughter and I have been working with Margaret since last fall planning a September wedding in Bloomington. We both live out of state and knew we needed a local wedding planner. Margaret is very organized and has helped us focus on what we really want. She knows lots of vendors and has so many original ideas. I really like her sense of style.
We have given her our budget and she is respectful of that. She knows we can spend too much very easily and helps keep us on track. Every few weeks, she sends us emails to remind us what we need to do next. She includes ideas and several vendors to choose from. Then she sets up appointments with the ones we like. Before the appointments she has provided us with questions to ask. During the appointments, she takes notes and makes sure we cover everything. Afterwards, she gets the answers to any unresolved questions and provides a summary and cost comparison.
So far, with her help, we have chosen our location, caterer, bakery, florist, photographer, DJ, tent, table and chair vendor. (I know I am leaving some things out). We ended up buying the gown and invitations in Atlanta, but that’s all.
She has given us an excel spreadsheet to track expenses and deposits. She also will ask the hard questions of vendors that I dont want to ask. I have to say that the process has been fun and relatively easy. After we make our decisions, I know that I have gotten the best vendor at the best price.
Most of all, Margaret has a passion for her job. She is caring and enthusiastic. She is not pushy or overbearing, but very efficient. Please dont hesitate to call me or email me with questions. I am happy to help. Good Luck!

Thanks to Margaret, Mary, Julie and Miranda my daughter’s wedding was wonderful. Mary ‘s wedding was planned for July 19th and ever since Mary was a little girl we had talked about having the reception at our home. The girls from Simple Elegance made this happen. With the help and attention to detail we received from them Mary’s wedding was magical. The best part was I had someone to lean on who I knew really cared as much as I did and would do whatever it took to make Mary’s wedding everything we wanted. I had the pleasure of entertaining at a fabulous reception in Bloomington, IL with Simple Elegance Event & Wedding Design and one of the primary reasons everyone knew it was going to be a fabulous event was the breathtaking floral arrangements, table linens, chair covers, and creative decor that had been provided by Simple Elegance.
